The course
Course description
Our course follows the beautiful Bulimba Creek and tracks through neighbouring parklands. With a turn around each end, the course has a few mild hills and runs along pavement, around 50% shaded.
We start near the shelter and playground in Tillack Park and head north towards Pine Mountain Rd, running across its bridge over Bulimba creek. Running through a treed area we have our first turn around point before heading back to the start/finish area. From the start we then head southwards following the creek, through a another beautiful treed area, and eventually turning onto our largest hill and our 2nd turn around at Eastwood Drive. From here runners retrace their steps to the start/finish area.
On the course
The course is 5k long. The course is at Tillack Park, Mansfield. The course is run entirely on permanent paths. Some sections of the course may accumulate mud, leaves and puddles after rain. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or signs will be in place.
Please remember that the parkrun uses shared paths. For the continued success of the event, please give way to other park users. This won't hurt your time, it won't stop you from getting a PB and it will make sure everyone continues to enjoy the event.
Please, wherever possible walk, jog, cycle or use public transport when attending the event. If you do have to drive, please consider car-sharing to reduce our impact on both the environment and other park users. Please also watch out for other park users when arriving and leaving. Parking may be limited so try to arrive early.
Facilities
Water is available at the start / stop area, which is also passed at the 2km mark of the run. There are basic council provided toilet facilities. There is also a children’s play area at the start of the course but please be aware that we cannot be responsible for your child during the event, there must be adult supervision.
