The course
Course description
This is a 3 lap, clockwise course, in the beautiful Figgate Park.
You will start at the top of Figgate Pond, close to the Baileyfield Road and Hamilton Terrace entrances and near the Green Flag. Staying on clearly visible paths you will follow the path around the pond and then alongside Figgate Burn on your right. Continue straight, going under the bridge, until you see the path curve to the right and cross the burn. The route will be clearly marked.
Return with the burn on your right (be careful going back under the bridge as the path narrows here) until you get to the small wooden bridge. You will cross the bridge and immediately turn left to follow the outline of the pond on your right. Repeat twice more. Just before the end of your third lap you will divert into the finish funnel which will be clearly marked and leads towards the Baileyfield Road exit.
Please remember that parkrun uses shared paths. For the continued success of the event please keep to the left and give way to other park users. This won’t hurt your time, it won’t stop you from getting a PB and it will make sure that everyone continues to enjoy the event.
On the course
