What is the Snakes parkrun challenge?
Snakes is a letter-collecting parkrun challenge built around one rather slippery initial. The goal is to finish at ten different 5K parkrun venues whose names begin with S. That might mean trying events close to home first and then looking further afield as the list becomes harder to fill. One qualifying location adds one towards your target, and revisiting the same venue doesn't provide another slot. The challenge doesn't require a particular order, finishing position or timescale. If you're working on Alphabeteer or Stayin' Alive too, Snakes is another entertaining reason to notice event names.
- The letter is the first A–Z character in the event name.
- Each slot needs a different parkrun. Repeating one event does not fill another slot.
- 10 parkruns whose name starts with S.
