Run 250 different parkrun locations

What is the Explorer 250 parkrun challenge?

The Explorer 250 parkrun challenge celebrates an extraordinary number of different Saturday morning destinations. To complete it, record finishes at 250 separate 5K parkrun locations. There's no need to visit every region or country, and the visits don't have to happen in consecutive weeks. What matters is that every qualifying venue is different. Repeating your favourite course is great fun, but it won't increase the unique-location total. Explorer 250 shares its target with the Freyne Club, making it a natural long-term goal once you've already explored 100 events and are looking for the next big adventure.

  • A location counts once. Further visits to the same parkrun do not add another one.
  • The tracker counts locations across your whole history, not inside a single year.
  • This is separate from Single-Ton and Double-Ton, which count repeat visits to one parkrun.
  • Explorer 250 is the top step, after Freyne Club at 250 locations.
  • The other steps are Tourist (20 locations), Quarter Cowell (25 locations), Half Cowell (50 locations), Three-Quarter Cowell (75 locations), Cowell Club (100 locations), Explorer 100 (100 locations), and Freyne Club (250 locations).
